    10 things that bring me joy
     List 10 things that bring you joy, and tag 6 other people to do the same.

    In no particular order...
    1) Writing a new song or story.
    2) Making a great pun that makes people laugh.
    3) Making my cat purr.
    4) Watching my wife asleep.
    5) Hearing my son or daughter say or do something unusually wise.
    6) Watching my kids choose to do what's right when they could have chosen what's easy.
    7) I love feeling accepted by God and trusted by my friends.
    8) Counseling people and seeing things get better when they follow my advice.
    9) Eating Spaghetti and meatballs by candle light with my family.
    10) Realizing a passage of scripture I'm reading perfectly answers something I've been stewing over.
    11) Being asked for my opinion by someone I respect.

    Do you feel lucky?
     Between rahddost's Vulcan hunt and the IRA, this sounds like a good day to stay inside. Do people still pinch those who forget to wear green? When I was growing up, kids were ruthless about reefing on any poor soul who forgot to put on something with green in it on this of all days. If I scoot around on the grass a bit will that count? What is it with green anyway? Seasick people don't look green; they look, eh, pukey. What's green about envy? Why are green lights the "go" color? I would think black would make a better stop color and red the color for running for it. Or, maybe we use green to go because seasickness makes you run for the rail...? Color psychology is so stressful...

    surprising gift
     If you go to a party and somebody gift exchanges one of these with you, but it isn't in the box and you don't know what it's for, don't just assume it's a nifty pen holder to take to night class. A word to the wise.
